Merry Christmas 2010

- Spoiled child alert -

Here are some photos from our very happy holiday!!

William got a special gift from one of his daycare teachers, who has also babysat for us. He loves to hang out with her and her boyfriend. They take him places and he has lots of fun with them. So much so, that he'll put up a fuss when I come to pick him up. Apparently they are more fun than Mommy!

A snake that grows in water. Will loves snakes!

A drum and musical instrument set!!! Yes, she warned me before she gave it to us. However, I have wanted something like this for him for awhile. The noise doesn't bother me ... yet! He LOVED it! It was hard to get him to focus on anything else. It was the first gift he picked out of the pile.

Will got this super cool monster truck from his big sister, Emily!!

Will also got about 6 'hot wheels' sized cars/trucks from Grandma Karen... here he is after he stuffed them all into his 4 different pant pockets and is dancing around with them in his pants. The dance was similar to a 'hula-hoop' type movement.

Will got two pairs of new shoes from Grandma Karen. He loved them! He wore them right away (the ones on his feet pictured below). When I tried to change him into pajamas later and put his slippers on, he had a fit! He only wanted his new shoes on....

Stocking stuffers!! Santa visited our house and filled a stocking at Grandma's house too!!

Will loved this school bus stocking stuffer...

Helping Daddy with stocking stuffers...

Matt loves snow globes. Emily made one for him and he loved it!

First train set!

Pillow Pet!!

Gifts from Ashley & Scott

DVD and a necklace!

Super cool hoodie!

Glass ornament from Ashley - very cool - hand painted from the inside!

We went to the cities to see my Mom's family for Christmas. However, mother nature had a different plan. After being snowed into my Mom's condo for the weekend, we headed back up north. Mom brought the gifts they would have gotten at that party with her this weekend, so the kids could open them on Christmas.

Here is one from Kelly's Uncle Vern and Aunt Cathy.

Book light - Emily loves to read!

AND an ITUNES gift card!!

Thank You Vern & Cathy!! She loved them!!

Ann, Rick, Cate, & Zach got her the Kids Bop CD and...

The game of LIFE!!! She was super excited to get this, it was on her list last year - but she never got it. She's been waiting for awhile!

As Emily opens gifts... William plays 52 pick up!

April & Chad got her a cool shirt & cat-hat!! She loved it!!

Wearing the hat!! She really likes hats!

William tackles the BIG "fezant". Complete with "OHHH.... AHHHH!" as he opens it!

Will couldn't wait to start playing with it!! Not sure who had more fun... William or Daddy!?

William opens a gift from Great-Uncle Vern and Great-Aunt Cathy

Textured learning cards that make mini puzzles!!! He loves these!!

William opens a gift from Ann, Rick, Cate, & Zach! "Ohhhh! Ahhhh!"

He thought this remote controlled truck was SUPER cool!!!

William opens his hand-painted ornament from Auntie Ashley.

Since it is glass, Emily helped!

Trying to just let Will look from a safe distance...

Not good enough, he needed to touch it.

After he started violently shaking it... Emily rescued the ornament and Will resumed 'just looking'.

William opens a gift from April & Chad!!

Super cool jogging suit!! He tried getting dressed in it by himself. We're working on it!

William also opened a special gift from Great-Grandma Joanie, Great-Grandpa Pa Joe, and Joanie's sister, Cheech on Christmas Eve. He had a lot of fun with the packaging - wrapped gifts in a box, tapped and wrapped in brown paper. Lots to unravel to get at his gifts!!

Book! Will loves to read (or be read too, actually). He doesn't have this book yet!

AND... a Chuck stunt car!! Will had so much fun with this!!

Here he is trying his hardest to force it to open...

Mom helped free Chuck and Will couldn't wait to start playing!

Besides getting it to run up on it's ramp, he got up on the table and slid across the dinning room table on his belly with the truck. When I got him down from there, I turned around and he was driving it up and down the walls... After redirecting him from that activity, I found him running the truck up and down the dogs. Lucky for him, the dogs are fairly easy going.

He definitely likes this new toy!!

A huge thank you from Will and Emily for all of the wonderful and very thoughtful gifts!! Everything was a big hit this year and they had a wonderful holiday!!
