8 Months Old

William is 8 months old! He is a very sweet baby. He loves to see new places and new faces. He likes to babble and say "da da da" and "ba ba ba" and sometimes I'll get a "ma ma ma". However, none of these are directed at anything in particular. He also likes to shout "AHH" and wait for us to respond. Then he will shout "AHH" again. He will do this several times. He loves to laugh and smile. Daddy is the best at getting giggles.

William plays well on his own, but is very vocal if he wants company or attention. He gets around by pulling himself with his arms. He is just starting to get his legs into the mix, so we may see some crawling in the next month or so. He loves to kick at things with his legs and will kick his ball in the corner of his play area for awhile.

He started eating pureed chicken this month. We generally mix it with a veggie and he will eat it best this way. Feeding can be a challenge at times. He is easily distracted and doesn't like to miss a thing. He seems to do best when someone else is eating with him.

SLEEP!!! I am happy to report (knock on wood) that he has been sleeping through the night!!! 8:00pm to 7:00am! He has his bedtime routine which includes several books. His all time favorite book is "So Big." It's an Elmo book and his face absolutely lights up when we pull this one off the shelf. He also likes his feel and learn animal book, and several others. However, Elmo tops the list right now.

Here are some of his 8 month photos:

So cute, as usual! Sam has he same Elmo book, and he has loved it for months. I'm jealous that Will sleeps until 7am. Sam wakes up at 5:30 every morning no matter what time we put him to bed. Ugh!
