Will's New Bed

Well, we've been tackling a few fun things this week. First, we decided last Sunday that Will would not have his pacifier any more. We slowly went without it during the day, then at night, and then at daycare. He was pretty crabby with us for about two days.

Then he decided to get even... the morning after night #2 without his pacifier, he climbed out of his crib.

Kelly was in the bathroom getting ready for work. She hears William's voice in his room and then getting closer and closer down the hall. She naturally assumes Matt has gotten up and gotten him out of his crib. As this little voice comes into the bedroom saying "Hi" and playing with the dogs, Kelly realizes it is odd that Matt would get Will out of his crib and then let him run around upstairs. She looks toward the bed, there is Matt... asleep! She wakes him, "Matt, why did you get Will up and then go back to bed?" Matt is startled and jumps out of bed looking at Will, "I didn't get him out of his crib!?!"

Hmmm... So we took him back into his room and set him in his crib. Sure enough! He hoists himself up on to the railing of his crib, lifts one leg over, re-grips his hands to the side of the railing and lowers himself down. Falling about a foot to reach the ground.

Matt decided to get him into a new bed.

Here is the bed that Matt made for Will. The "28" on the side represents his birthday 8-20-2008 (the numbers without the zeros).

Here is Will sleeping in his new bed... it only took us about 2 hours to get him to stay put. It's kind of like "Where's Waldo" (Will is wearing brown and red striped pj's).
